Niger seed is a loved by finches especially Goldfinch. Niger is packed with oils that is needed in colder weather and times when birds are nesting.
Niger seed is best fed from a special Niger Seed Feeder which keeps the seed from being blown out of the feeder. Niger Seed can also be added to other mixes and is great for experimenting with, try adding Niger to a husk free mix and see if you can attract more wild birds to your garden table.
